Navy Yacht Club Constitution and Bylaws Amendment 2018

The Board of NYCSD has been working hard this season to update the club's Constitution and Bylaws. This process must occur periodically to ensure the club is operating within the current confines of applicable federal, state, and local laws, as well as applicable Naval instructions. This year, the amendment that is being proposed revises mostly outdated terms and language, but also adds several elements. Of note, the amendment would create the Board position of Judge Advocate, and refine and clarify the language governing the club's financial operations. Also of note is that the proposed amendment would eliminate the membership category of Guest Membership as all personnel eligible for this position already are eligible under the Regular Membership category or are covered by reciprocal privilages.
